IS PILATES LIKE YOGA?
We love yoga and its benefits; however, Pilates is very different in its own unique way. Pilates uses spring loaded specialized Pilates equipment and focuses more on proper and functional movement instead of holding poses. Come to a class to experience the differences!
I'VE NEVER DONE PILATES, WHERE DO I START?
That's so exciting, there's so much to learn and explore! First-timers have the option of purchasing our "Intro Package" and receiving 4 Private Sessions at a discounted rate OR try a "First Time Assessment" for a single private. Click on SIGN UP in the menu bar to purchase and schedule your first lesson.
HOW DO I SIGN-UP FOR CLASSES?
If you're new to Pilates, you must complete an Introductory Package before signing up to a class. Once you've completed the Introductory Package of private lessons, have a better understanding of the classical pilates equipment/exercises, and have the go-ahead from one of our Instructors, you're ready to start taking group classes. We typically advise starting with the Fundamentals Class and graduating to a Classical Class before jumping into a Power Group.
If you've been practicing Pilates for some time but are new to our studio, you must complete a First-Time Assessment before joining classes. We require this so an Instructor can see how you move and evaluate your understanding of the Classical repertoire and equipment before suggesting which class would be suitable for you.
Once you know which class you want to join, click on SIGN UP in the menu bar to choose from a list of membership options available to you. After you've purchased a package and signed up with Zen Planner (our online registration system), you can download the Zen Planner App in the App Store to start scheduling yourself into available classes.
HOW MANY TIMES A WEEK SHOULD I DO PILATES?
If you can attend class once a week you're already ahead of the game! However, for the best results try 2-3 classes a week. Our 3x Week Membership, which is offered at discounted rate, allows you to experience different teachers and practice with different group members within your Pilates routine. WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?
Breathable yet form-fitting workout wear due to the variety of movements, a water bottle (we have water for re-fill), and a great attitude.
HOW LONG ARE CLASSES?
55 minutes, with time left at the end for equipment cleaning.
